I'm using switches that already have an LED inside of them, these  I bought from eBay and they are a combination of SPST  momentary and latching switches.  If you use these keep in mind that you need to use a resistor in order to power up the LED with a 12v source.  In this picture I'm using a 530 ohm 1/2 watt resistor but I might change it to a 1k ohm depending on how bright they are.



After making all the buttons I painted the sides black and the tops white.   The white on the top still allows the light to get through but it helps with making it a softer glow.

Here's the way that I am doing the buttons for my car.  First I made a mold of the buttons in silicone.



I'm using clear casting epoxy that I bought at Michael's craft store  ::)  it's pretty good stuff but it takes about 24 hours to fully cure so making these took several days.

Also Solrac asked me to make a mold of his seats and he was nice enough to let me make a set for myself.  These actually fit so much better in my car than the other seats I had bought off ebay.  I put the sliders on this weekend and I can't wait to get them upholstered.



This is a shot of the small wing on the exhaust lid in action, I made the uprights so that this will still be able to go up and down.

My friend took my fenders after I converted them to the 670 style and he molded them.  He gave me a brand new pair and they came out awesome!

That wing looks great! I really like how you integrated the brackets into the 640 exhaust bonnet and still retained the 670 style. Beautiful work! ::thumbup

Here is another piece I have been working on, it's the roof panel that the 3rd brake light goes into.  On my original kit that piece was molded onto the roof and I didn't like the fact that it wouldn't have the gap in between the panels.  Now that I have this piece I can cut the one that is molded on my roof and install this instead.

Agreed, it's just fiberglass cut it up and make whatever you want.  ::thumbup



Pedro, please check with qualify welding shop about the axle shafts. GM axle are harder ( more carbon ?)  you don't want that snap on you one day, while driving. I forgot what's called . you can google up how to weld hardener metal, but let the pro do it.

I've got a call into a buddy of mine who's an excellent welder to see what he thinks, I'm also going back to the machine shop so they can look it over, thanks bud.

Guys, use BMW full size sedan CV axles. They have the same spline pattern as the Corvette and S10 hubs and a flange style mount on the other end. The bolt pattern in that flange is different from the commonly used transaxles, but a simple adapter is cheap and much easier than cutting up axles. The BMW axles are available in numerous lengths at any auto parts store for under $100 and they are a healthy 1-1/8" thick. Also, the adapter can be made any thickness to fine tune the required length. If you are using a Hall Effect speedo sender, cut the sender grooves into the adapter while it is being machined and save several hundred dollars on parts later.
actually there's a member Wigl4me ( i think that was him) who mention to me on email about the beema axles and found exact length he need it.

Yes, thanks bud!  I cut up my perfectly good fenders to do this upgrade.  I am very happy with the way they are coming out.  Here is a pic of how I cut up my fenders.
