After seam welding all four sides, I had a slight tin can effect.
So I drilled and counter sunk a few holes in the top and screwed it down with tapered head screws.
It worked out and pulled it down nicely.

Thanks Guys! I didn't get any work done on the car this weekend,
But I did get a little garage upgrade. I found this old workbench in my barn covered in junk
and decided it would make a nice welding table. So I had some metal plate cut for the top.
I put a piece of thin fiberglass fire blanket on top of the wood butcher block then set the 1/8" steel plate on it
and wrapped the sides in metal. I still plan on adding mounting provisions for my tubing roller and a few spots
to clip on the grounding clamp.

It's amazing you are almost scratch building all of these parts and they look just like the original parts. Good job man.
