A/C Condenser in Rocker Panel Scoop

<< < (2/2)

Quote from WRSportscars on KC:  "If we do rear mounted radiators, we purchase an aftermarket A/C condensor (designed for street rods) that has its own shroud and fan. They are relatively cheap at about $160.00 and we then mount this using the large scoop under the door jamb. So basically, its mounted standing up at a slight angle, in between the rear of the door jamb, and in front of the rear tire. This setup for us has worked great in the West Texas Heat."

I'm considering putting an A/C condenser in the rocker panel scoop where the oil cooler would go on an OEM car.  I can get a 12'' x 14'' condenser that would work and it looks like I could fit a 10'' fan in there.  Do you guys think a 10'' fan would provide enough cooling for the A/C condenser, has anyone tried this?
