I like the idea, but that would leave me out with my build... but I am an outlier

Stick an LS engine cover over it  ::thumbup

There are car shows and then there is Carlisle.  To my knowledge, they have the LARGEST car show venue in the USA bar none.  Throughout the year, Carlisle hosts events like: Auction event, Import & Performance event, Ford nationals, Chevrolet nationals, Chrysler nationals, Corvette nationals, Truck nationals, and Swap Meet events with thousands of lookers and venders.  We're not talking like a get together in a parking lot on Sunday afternoon type of car show.  (of course, I may be biased as I don't like to park next to a Honda)

I have a Chevy engine in my belly my rear trunk has a big exhaust and spews stinky gas and I have thunder thighs with giant rear tires....
I am an Italian exotic wrapped up in American blood sweat and tears Knowledge and build-out. If you call me a garage queen I will declare you have WMD and invade you like Iraq and squash you like Saddam. If you want to race me in a Honda I will let you win then let your girlfriend fondle me all over. When I pull up for gas I will let you take pic of me and if you are beautiful enough I will let you jump all over me......

WHAT AM I!!!!!

Jim.... Aren't there any other car shows in the Midwest we can target....

It isn't enough to want a Lambo, you have to want to BUILD A CAR.

Hey Jim(01)...
That is an interesting thought.
I'm sure Carlisle would be more than happy to take our money.
According to their listing when we register we would be:
231: Special - Street Rods/Pro Street/Customs(All Makes)
We hate the word "Replica" anyway.
I've always considered my car a home-made street rod that happens to look like a Lamborghini.
My guess is we would be in an area with other guys who customized their cars and are using a Chevy/GM engine.
Has anybody been to that event?  If so, how has the weather been in late June?

RT

PS:  I just looked up weather for Carlisle.  Check out Saturday, June 23, 2018.  LOL

It's right next to Ohio.  It's in Pennsylvania!  Carlisle, PA. to be exact.  June 21-23, 2019.

Since we have been washed out so many times, how about moving to the "Chevrolet Nationals" meet which comes in June (approx. 4 weeks after our May weekend).  Since most of us have chevy engines or GM engines, we are welcome.  I think that Carlisle will take your money even if you had a John Deere engine.  For years we have wasted good money to travel to Carlisle for "our show" only to be disappointed because of management or weather.  We are a real specialty group, no doubt about it and I'm proud and honored to be with our group.  Food for thought.  Please give your input on this.  Thanks
