I made my own. Its not as pretty as that one, but worked fine a few years ago when I had to have my car flatbeded (alternator went out). The tow truck driver told me it was my saving grace, if I wouldn't have had it he would have refused to load the vehicle. I was a little worried when I screwed it in, since I had never tested it to see if it would support the load. It worked just fine, and I even made a nice leather bag to put it in lol!

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to share a quick tip that I'm doing on my car.  Most of you have probably noticed the hole in the drivers side front bumper grille.  This is for a tow hook that is screwed into a holder on the back side.  If you want an OEM tow hook, they aren't that expensive, $36 new ( http://www.lambostuff.com/xq/asp/webcat.yes/prid.20799/action.1/qx/product.htm ) or around $260 for the kit (case, gloves etc http://www.lambostuff.com/product.asp?prid=40821&Mode=add ) and you've got to admit that the kit would be a nice finish detail to your car.  :)

For those who want to save a couple bucks, you can use a the eyelet half from this part and it can be bought at stores like Tractor Supply for around $18

All that is needed is a reinforced bracket tied into the car frame and you can weld a nut or tap a thick piece of steel to accept the tow rod. 

Think of the practicality of this, and it's just a matter of time that your car will break down, run out of gas and / or need to be towed on a flat bed or possibly out of a ditch.  Having this simple addition can save you a ton of money and work later on.
