Looks Fantastic. Lots of hard work but really shows all the effort you put into.

Dash is just about ready to take to the upholstery shop.  Lost track of how many adjustments that had to be made to the OEM sized replica dash to fit the G28.  Had to do some of them twice  ::toothy

The hole for the pod, both ends of the dash shortened, Flange along the front the dash the A pillar openings on each side, the center console openings. left and right side of the steering wheel, the buttonhole opening to the left of the steering wheel,  the airbag opening, the grab handle area.  Flanges on each end.

Thanks for the details. I'll be eventually making something similar.

Lots of work, but well worth it!

yes it was a lot of work, but the hard rubber has a better feel than the fiberglass one.

Neils 88, thank you it was a process

I made the outer portion in foam, Then CSM, and smooth finish with filler.

The plug was made a bit smaller than needed.

Took this piece to the upholstery guy and he covered it in a pebbly vinyl.

For the center piece I had purchased it from Cory on this site.

hope that helps

That looks fantastic! Great job! How did you get the surface effect to match it all to the rest of the steering wheel?

For the airbag cover I wanted a more OEM feel instead of fiberglass.  I played around with different liquid rubbers and after quite a few prototypes I arrived at a formula.

Came up with a pretty close color match to the OEM steering wheel using a certain number of drops of black dye, a number of scoops of thickening agent and X grams of A & B. Then added liquid hard plastic to the back of the cover for rigidity.

The aluminum trim ring just needs to be welded at the ends.

A little trimming, good to go!

Driver door card.  Wasnt fitting correclty.

Had to REDO, and remove some of the fiberglass on the upolstered door card.  Then re-glued the leather.
