Hard to make out those black wheels in the picture. Lol oh well. Here is a shot of the trailing arm mounts. I'm kinda of just tube framing most of the rear. When it's done there won't be much left of the uni-body aside from the main framerails.

Been pretty productive lately. Almost done the trailing arm mounts. Got the coil overs and wheels on for mock up. Now just refitting the panels to start the tube frame. Starting to feel like I am actually getting somwhere

Parts are starting to turn up. Hopefully I will get the trailing arm brackets finished up this weekend. Then I can install the motor and get on with the fab work. I need to install the coil overs and wheels and tires to get the ride height set. Then start with the chassi and roll cage fabrication.

Now that the mounts were off of the chassis but still tied together by the tube steel. I put the mounts on the the trailing arms with the factory bolts and used a few Jacks to lift the mounts up to the right hight and angle. This took a little bit of messing around. Once I got everything right and regulator checked the angles and cross measurements I tacked some temporary bracing in to keep it all in place. Now I just have to tie them into the frame rails with new steel.

I started by taking measurements and checked some angled with an angle finder. Then I drilled out all of the spot welds on the mounts. Next I welded a piece of tube steel from mount to mount, to tie them together. Then I welded pieces of angle iron to the Frame 10.5" back from the top of the mount as a reference for moving them back. After that I chided of the mounts that were now just held on basically by seam sealer.

Got some more time in on the car this weekend. I got the last piece  of the rear suspension sorted. The rear torsion bar mounts needed to be moved back 10.5 inches now that the shock towers and crossmember moved back. They way extreme does this is by extending the torsion bars. But it is not a straight shot any more after the move so they extend them but they have a bend to them to hit the factory mount. I didn't really think that was a great idea. So I decided to move my mounts back. It was a little tricky but it worked out.
