Hey guys. Newbie here from south central NC. Just bought a Countach built on an '86 Fiero. Car is complete but has sat for several years so will need some TLC. Mechanics and interior still 100% Fiero. Not new to cars but new to kits, unless you count the ones from the toy section I built when I was a kid, lol. Looking forward to a steep learning curve and hoping to make a few new friends along the way. I do know the forum format is almost dead, but I still prefer the boards as I don't Facebook, although I know it is a lot more active there. Anyways, glad to meet everyone and let the fun begin.

Here's a few photos.
Hopefully these post correctly.

Well, I guess they didn't ::)
Got a message that they failed a security check. The images were originally JPEG which is not one of the supported formats here. I edited and saved them as GIF which is supposed to be supported but got the security message. Anyone know what the problem might be or any alternate ways to post photos here? Any chance we can get JPEG support?

Another try

Worked that time. Just had to post and then edit and add a couple at a time. Guess the file size was too much for one upload and I have no idea why they are showing as JPG files now instead of GIF. Anyway, there she is. Still working on trying to get the title straightened out as NC will not let me use the VIN. They are going to issue a state id number and title it as a replica.
I still don't know exactly what model it is supposed to be, who's kit it is, or who constructed it. It's a stock wheelbase Fiero but the kit seems to be a mix of body styles. It is a low body roof with molded rockers and what looks like anniversary top scoops and the engine/trunk lid is a one-piece design. Anyone know just exactly what this chimera (might be a good idea for a personal plate) is that I have? Maybe a Mac's or a Mirage K?
Also, there are several other things that make no sense to me such as the NACA ducts are closed instead of open, there are levers in the top scoops that control a block off door in the scoop, and the headlight doors are controlled by a manual control under the dash cable set up instead of electric motors. The absolute strangest thing to me though is the fuel filler neck. The stock Fiero filler runs to the driver's side but the one on this kit comes up through the quarter window above the passenger's head and the fill neck actually runs through the passenger's compartment and I have no idea why it was done this way other than the NACA ducts are not open to put it there.
And if anybody doubts this a true 80's car, just check out the period correct Sparkomatic speakers beside the headrests, ::rocker ::headbang lol
