Hi@all,
I have a somewhat unconventional door latch setup in my car. It consists of just a metal rod connecting the inner push button directly to the exterior of the vehicle. :sosad You can see the details in the attached pictures.
I’m considering using aftermarket locks from an old Audi 100 for an upgrade. These locks would ideally be installed on the topside of the "tunnel" (see picture). However, I’m open to better suggestions regarding lock types, manufacturers, or alternative solutions. ::scratch
My main concern is figuring out how to connect everything together effectively. If anyone has experience with a similar setup or can share their solution, I would greatly appreciate your advice.
Thank you in advance!

well, the original door lock button was square and the Peugeot 505 trunk button is very similar, 25 years ago I used it on my Coutach 25th

Wow, whoever did that latch install did it completely backwards. The latch should have been on the door and the strike on the jamb. I guess they had a 50/50 chance of getting it right lol.
