Looking at this brings back some painful memories for me, all the aligning of panels and making gaps consistent, filling glassing sanding and priming, and then doing it again and again 'til its right LOL.
People who have never built one of these could never imagine all the work that goes into what most think are the simplest things.

This is the tedious part that everyone sees when it's finished. If only they knew of all the effort that was involved in everything under the skin. Great job.

The bodywork continues... To me, this is the least fun part of the build. But it is progressing. I have a few low spots to correct and some gaps to tidy up, then I'll give it another epoxy sealer coat and a number of polyester primer coats. Then back to the endless block sanding...

I also reworked the nose emblem indent. Much happier with it now.

The Megasquirt ECU I am using will not control a 4 wire IAC that is in the LS throttle body. Since a 2 wire IAC is not made that will fit the throttle body, I will close off that port and use an inline Porsche IAC that is 2 wire. There is an additional vacuum port on the LZ4 manifold that I will use as an attachment point to hook the Porsche IAC into.

I ordered my 4T60 (440-T4) today, I'm happy I was able to find one. I wanted the 4T60 because it is not electronically controlled and has a TV cable that will attach to the LZ9 engine the same way the TH125C attaches to the stock 2.8L engine and controls the shift points manually.
I went to the junkyard and got an LS 75mm throttle body I will be using, its non electronic as well and will hook-up to the Fiero throttle cable. I also picked up an upper intake manifold from an LZ4 (3500) engine, it has much better flow than the stock LZ9 intake and doesn't have the variable flow louvers inside which I think is unnecessary.

Engine & Transmission / Re: Fiero fuel pump

It would have to have a relay somewhere. Is it possible to post some pictures of your engine bay?
Do you know if your car has an aftermarket ECU? Do you know if it still has the stock Fiero fuel pump?
More than likely it's not a relay issue. It's not hard to follow the wires back from the fuel pump to find the relay if necessary. I'd say pull the fuel pump.

This car has the 3.8 SC engine, from an '07 Grand Prix. I'm wondering if that's why I'm having trouble finding the relay, or even if the wire harness is the same, or similar?
Thanks again just the same. You guys are an amazing help!

As we know, the ECU will energize the fuel pump relay for about 3 seconds when starting the engine. As the engine starts and the 3 seconds runs out the ECU cuts power to the fuel pump relay but as long as the engine has oil pressure and the ECU gets a signal from the distributor the relay will stay energized. If you can keep the car running with starter fluid, it could possibly be a bad relay.
I assume you have checked to see if you have fuel pressure at the fuel rail?
Its very easy to pull the relay out and jump the terminals to run the fuel pump. If doing this "jump" fails to run the fuel pump, then your fuel pump is shot ( in all my experience with fuel pumps going bad, it has NEVER happened while the engine was running, but always died after the engine was shut off).
Look at this post on the Fiero form, it tells you how to JUMP the relay via the ALDL (assembly line date link) connector.

Thank you so much guys. Still working on this, hoping I can sort it out without dropping the fuel tank. Thanks again!

I used the factory one and had zzp program it. I got my harness from James Brown and he will also program the ecu for you. The harness is pretty much plug and play just let him know it's in a stretch and he adds length to it.
