Engine & Transmission / Re: Fiero fuel pump

Here's a decent drawing showing the relay. You may only have 1 relay there, in which case it is the fuel pump relay. If you have more than 1 (I.e. 2 or 3), it'll be the one closest to the hinge.

if you are using stock ECM for the 3800C/c I have all pins marked what each pin is for. I took it out of 96 Buick that little cover you can open and mod chip. my engine is out of 99 Pontiac GTP. if you go that way, cut off the harness a good foot long from ECM, you need those two plugs and continue your own wiring .it's not that hard to do.

Oh yes, the brakes lol!
What controller (ECU) are you using on the 3800?

Engine & Transmission / LZ9 engine swap help
« Last post by ★ Murcie-Me ★ on February 02, 2025, 06:22:43 PM »
So it's time for an engine swap with my build as well, so I've decided to go with the LZ9 3900 engine with a 4T60 (non "E") transmission.  I've been posting over on the Fiero forum and have been told to use the Megasquirt mini pro 3 ECU to control the engine, but thought I would ask here if any of you guys have experience with this ECU and can offer any guidance on how I should go about this. Thank you all in advance!!

Clutch, brakes and e brake. I recommend unfolding the slave cyl for the clutch and not breaking the line because they are a beach to bleed.

Did you ever find the relay? There are 2 relays, little black cubes next to each other on the driver side of the engine compartment. Sorry dont have a picture though.

Quick question, is that all there is to removing the Fiero engine cradle? Just the two front points, the 2 rear points, the 6 strut tower bolts and the engine wiring harness? I mean I understand there's hoses and fuel lines to disconnect, but I never thought it was that simple (I'm going to be doing an engine swap as well).

We just re-installed the tranny bled all system and that was it. the car is still on the floor stands no wheels and all under the rear hood needs to be put back together. It is too cold, I may repaint the whole car,  has some chips, and scratches. you know when you have no car hoist and the car is only 2.5' off the ground, you hit it with tools. it was not ez re and re transmission/clutch assy.
