Audi 5000 transmission coding. RDU / RDE HELP my lambo brothers!

Thanks for that information.  I have never dealt with the automatics so didn't know about those codes.  I have heard that that automatic is not very durable and I would not recommend using it with a V8.

For your information , both of those gearbox codes are - 3 speed automatic gearboxes,
The RDE is audi 200 2.0l 1984/1985 , and the RDU is audi 100/200 2.3l 1986/1987.

Make sure you get the FWD only version.  I have not seen either of those codes on an Audi 5000 (016).  Usually they are 5N or AAZ and there is also 3V and 3K.  For more information about all Audi transmissions contact Scott at Advanced Automotion.
