Thanks for the good words.
The material that I am using is 3/4" particle board. It is pretty easy stuff to work with.
It is pretty cheap also 22 bucks for a 4'x8' sheet

Pretty cool! ::thumbup

What are you planning to do for body panels? I am particularly interested in the front bumper and front fenders as I am thinking of using the LP670 versions in my build.

Mike
If I don't have time to do it right, when will I have time to do it over?

Building my own 670 kit

Hi guys,

Don't post much here but I do check in frequently.
Just thought I would post some pics of my project that I am working on. I am building plugs for the 670 kit.

So far I am just about done the rear wing, wing struts, and the rear bumper.

The plugs are made out of mostly particle board and foam.  I will then glass the pieces and body work them.  Then finish them in an epoxy primer.

I started with a 3d cad model of the 670 and scaled it in auto cad then created templates to transfer onto the particle board.

The process is actually going a lot quicker than I thought. only have a bout a week into it so far.
