I passed on the deal. Too many uncertainties.

Hello, the best bet would be to find another LS1 Engine,

They can range from $1500 to 3000 on ebay

It would be very difficult to pinpoint exactly what is wrong with the broken engine

Hello folks. I am waiting for a friend to show up. We are going to go look at a Camaro Z-28, which I MAY buy today. I am TOLD that the only thing wrong with it is it needs the engine to be repaired.

I am chiefly an artist and inventor. Mechanically I can tell you anything you want to know about guns but I don't know the first thing about auto mechanics.

I am guessing that 90% of the help I get will be in person, but if need be, would any of you be willing/capable of helping me with it? That is, diagnosing issues and suggesting fixes?
