Really appreciate your progress photos. Great documentations for those in the building phase. You loose track of how many time you assemble and disassemble all the parts throughout the build. That is the only way to do it to achieve the best results. Thanks again for sharing.

Thank you Dale and Footcutter.  I'm sorry for the crappy pictures but its a little dark back in the garage where I am building the car.  Maybe on the weekend I will bring it outside and take better pictures.

I also can't wait till it's all put together and upholstered Dale.  It's much closer now to being done.

Inside is starting to take shape, I got my A/C controls and the stereo mounted also.  Should be ready for upholstery soon.  ::bounce

Thanks Sam!  I'll be getting one of those next week then, it seems like an awesome product from what I read.

Hey Sam, good to hear from you buddy.  All the gaps to allow for the material have been accounted for already, it was a real pain to get everything to fit properly.  The main reason for priming was so to seal the surface, I really don't like to leave bondo bare.  It always seems to let off a little bit of dust.  Another reason is that the primer allows me to see any imperfections that I left behind on the surface.  After I primered I noticed a lot of areas that still needed attention.  In the end, the surface will be much smoother and sealed with the primer than without.

Hey bro good to hear, it was my interior guy that most of the guys here went to had advised me not to paint or apply any solvents to the parts so that the adhesives will work and last, but hopefully you won't have any problems.

The best interior adhesive you want to get is a gallon of DAP Weldwood Contact Adhesive, It's Industrial grade and it's great for the carpet and padding also.

Thanks man, glad to help.  I still don't know what adhesive I will be using.  Some of the parts that will have stitching will go to the upholsterer, the other basic ones I will try and do myself here.  I'll ask him what he recommends using and I will let you know what he says.

Thanks a lot for all the info!  Really beautiful work! What do you recommend for a contact adhesive?

This is the fabric that I will be using.  This is the piece for the headliner and I took it to get embroidered with the pattern that the 670 uses.

Also I just got done priming the last of my pieces.  Now I just have to finish up some wiring, running the A/C ducts and general cleanup.  After this I can start covering all the interior pieces.

Nice work!  Are you going to add some padding, then leather, or does the leather go on directly?  Trying to decide what I am going to do.  Thanks!

Thanks Footcutter  ::beers  On most of the original pieces I molded they didn't have any padding on them, the leather was placed directly onto the metal pieces.  The only pieces that had padding where the armrest on the center console, doors and the dash.  I will be doing the same but instead of leather I will be doing a material that is very similar to Alcantara.

Hey Pedro, Looking good buddy!! Hey I understand the purpose of making all the interior parts smooth, filling in dings and imperfections, and fitting everything all together, I did the same thing for sure!, But what was your purpose of primering all the parts when they are just going to be covered in leather and materials? I left mine raw because I knew that the parts were going to be sprayed with upholstery adhesive in order for the material to stick, Just curious..

Be sure to allow some gapping between the parts for when the leather and materials get folded over on them, that takes up some gap space, I learned a lesson from my parts.
