The frame has already a full width rollbar for occupant safety...you can filp the car upside down and it will not crush...

Very cool.........thanks for the detailed pictures, looks excellent. I see you are using wood to mock up future chassis connection points, won't that be a modification? Two questions come to mind. Aside from outright buying an assembled chassis, do you have any intentions of selling the chassis build plans? And if not, do you have any idea of turn around time, from ordering to delivery? I'm in Western Canada.

The chassis is made for an 80 inch wide car....so no modification needed....
Do not look at wheels on it they are not the correct offset
Like other kitcar you build your door reinforcement for side impact.

What kind of modifications will be necessary to strengthen the chassis when the wheels are extended outward?  What are your plans concerning side crash safety to occupants?

OK...Yes the chassis was develop for the Tomahawk, but very close to a stretch Fiero for a Lambo kit. So all the chassis dimension ( width, length and height ) fit under a lambo skin. NO MODIFICATION ON THE CHASSIS .
For sure you will have to fabricate  all the body support and body reinforcement, like you do normally on your build.
You can see on pics the roof fit right on top of the rear Firewall and Rollbar.

Ok, just so I'm clear on this, Dubuc that is not a custom aluminum chassis FOR the Aventador, but an aluminum chassis for the Tomahawk that you are trying to fit Inspire's body on? And that aluminum chassis sells for $5,000.00 Canadian, correct? Ok, I would be very interested to know how many modifications you wind up doing to get things aligned and connected. And what your overall impressions of the fitment are. Best of luck, looks like an extremely interesting Project.

I don't want to get into the whole Carlos /inspire debate. 

Carlos kit is good but to my eyes looks more like a kit , with compromises in the wheel well area and other areas to fit a donor car

Inspire car is a scan that's closer to the real thing , but also means no donor easily fits under it- so you need to custom fab a chassis like is being done here

Of course the most important is that inspire kit can be bought today in the USA and you'll actually get it . The one reported purchase of Carlos kit (stethy ) has still not been able to take delivery of his parts.  That right there makes the deciding factor simple
