Nice work.  ::thumbup  I am about to embark on my window tracks.  Is your glass suppose to be 2.5" from the sill?

Starting over with a working window track.....  for Way less coin!!

Modified the track, and used the original holder for the glass that came with the car.

When fully retracted about 2.5 inches stick up above the door.

Still have to make a mount for the motor.

But pretty happy how it came out.

So I spent a lot of time making brackets and installing the track system that is sold by Jose from Spain, I think his user name is lambocars or something like that.

Long story short, The tracks system I received is junk.  I have purchased a few fiberglass parts from him with no problems at all.  Luckily I had a track system that other have used in these cars.  My mistake for not firing up the Jose system earlier.  oh well live and learn

Made the upper frame for the door.

Test fitted the OEM inner sweeper and side channels.

I can see that some adjustments will have to be made steel door frame to get the it all to fit correctly

Footcuuter , Autopro and lambobuilder  thank for the comments and encouragement.   It a battle with these builds as you all know.  Wish I had more uninterrupted time to work on these doors.  All I can grab is an hour or 2 here and there.

Great work. And people wonder why it takes years and exceptional skills to complete these beauties. They have no clue as to what is really involved.  Thanks for inspiration.

"NEW" inner doors have a warped bottom.

I see fiber glassing in my future.

To get the door glass to lay against the inner door took a lot of sanding as well as increasing the upper door seal flange.

Knowing what I know now,  I should have used the doors that came with the car and reworked them instead of using these "NEW" doors  :o

Mikes car is awesome, I got to ride in it a few years ago and it was a blast.  He really helped me in this hobby and is a great guy to talk to.

My gal had a business trip to LA and I was able to tag along and stop by and see Murci-Me’s G28.

This is the second time to view the car and it was just as impressive as the first time I saw it over 3 years ago in January 2016.

Enjoyed my chat with Michael and picked up some great ideas for the REDO, plus a million pictures of his build.  Thanks Michael!

Can’t wait to get back at it!
