Slow progress.... but at least it's progress...

I'm getting close to priming. After endless bodywork, I just put another coat of epoxy sealer. I've got a few last imperfections that need to be corrected first.

I'm also slowly accumulating all the Wilwood brake parts. I have everything for the front brakes (14"). Eventually I'll get the rear and electric parking brake.

I'm working on a paddle shift system for manual transmissions. It should cost $400-500 plus the cost of the paddles (I'm using Mitsubishi Lancer paddles, cheap on ebay). (I'm a PhD robotics guy, so this is the kind of thing I design/ build all the time). The first version uses a manually operated clutch, but eventually that will be upgraded include AI based clutch automation (I haven't priced this part of the system yet, but can be added anytime after).

Unfortunately, I'm working on 100 projects simultaneously, so it's not ready yet. I'll be happy to share the system design with you once I have the prototype finished. I will be focusing on it once I get the car painted (sometime in the very near future. Should be priming within two weeks).

Let me know if you are interested in a system like this.

Got the shifter bracket made and installed. Extensive mods to console. Aventador has paddle shifters and a manual shifter does not play well with OEM style console. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJVS_Cg8I1c

I'd recommend using cobalt bits. A bit more expensive, but they pay for themselves many times over.

I do have a drill sharpener, but I won't recommend it as the results aren't as good as I would have expected... of course that might be a result of operator error.

  • $800.00 Rear Bumper - OEM fiberglass copy
  • $200.00 Rear Diffuser - OEM but missing a section
  • $800.00 Rear drivers fender - OEM was damaged and repaired (not by me), still needs more work to be perfect
  • $500.00 Rear Batwings (both sides) - OEM fiberglass copies and has both outside and inside parts bonded together
  • $400.00 Passenger door hinge - OEM with a slight bend, possibly fixable
