Here are some of the facts: [

1. 3% of the people that start a build finish it. (this does not include builders that purchase a build that is already in progress)
2. It will take a full time dedicated builder with welding skills, fabricating skills, body & paint skills, and engineering skills 1-2 years to finish a build. (work being done after his or her regular job) Old guys like me....6-7 years or maybe longer.
3. It will probably cost you $30K-$50K (OEM parts are expensive and out sourcing labor and fab work may cost more)
4. You will probably never get any payback from all of your labor.
When done right, you can stand proud of your accomplishments and have to fight off the mob of girls that will flock to your car. Check out the build diaries to see how much work goes into this hobby. Then if you decide that you are just as crazy as the rest of us, jump in and have fun.
