I just (re)joined. I started my roadster build project about 10 years ago (doesn't seem possible), had to stop for a variety of unpleasant reasons, and just now able to return to it. I'm enjoying immensely reading all the valuable pointers and tech tips, and very grateful that so many have contributed selflessly to make these projects manageable. I'm about 80% done with the chassis, built myself with NAERC plans, LT1 engine bored and stroked to 392, all forged internals, will be running twin intercooled blowers through a Porsche G50 tranny. Barely started on the body, just beginning to build the doors at this time. I feel that if I can get through the doors, the rest will be less challenging. I'm basically following Dale Van Blokland's (sorry if I misspelled, going on memory, which at my age is a hazard) setup on the doors, as laid out in his Phantom Roadster build - again, very grateful for good guidance. I have a few challenges remaining on the chassis, probably the biggest of which is settling on and installing an engine management system, but hope to fire it up and run it around the block by spring. That will be a great milestone! Wish I had more to contribute in return for all the help I'l getting, but after I get a little more work under my belt, maybe I'll be able to help a bit now and then.
