HOW OLD ARE MY TIRES
« Reply #1 on: March 05, 2014, 09:50:47 AM »
Ever wonder how old your tires are?  Here's some help reading the DOT code which is cast into one of the outer sidewalls.  Find the DOT followed by 4 letters/numbers.  Following this Dot code will be a string of letters/numbers.  You are concerned with the last 4 numbers in this string.  In the following picture, the numbers are 5107.  Interpreted to meaning that this tire was manufactured in the 51st week of the year 2007 (51 & 07).  Hope this helps.
