I think it is just somebody making a stupid, automotive, political joke.  They are saying they think the Gallardo is a Le'mon so they entered it there.  Either that or it wasn't supposed to be consider an entry or maybe both of the above.
Without much much more to go on, it looks like a real Lamborghini.

Looking at it I am thinking it is the real car.... And reading the posts I am feeling they know something to that same effect
Too much dead on... Even the rotors and callipers, the comments that the "builder" made regarding friends at Audi for the electronics and injection moulding the interior parts etc.....  Kit isn't a Fiero, kit is a Lamborghini....

I was in Monterey and saw this car in person , I didnt pay too much attention to it because i thought it was real. Now this article says its a replica based on a 1986 fiero

If I knew it was a kit I would have taken lots of pics and talked to the owner - does anyone know this car ?
