SEPARATING BODY PANELS** Have a question

If you create the mounting points for them while the body is still all one piece it will be easier for you to put it back in the correct place.  Believe me that it's not easy to cut a body apart and then try and align it back together.  My kit is made up of all separate pieces as the original and it hasn't been a simple process to align everything.  In short yes, bolt it down first and then cut the pieces apart.

If you do this you will have a more OEM looking body at the end and in my opinion that much nicer.  I would recommend you mount your body and then make all the separate mounting points for the fenders and rockers that way when you do cut them loose from the rest of the body they will be easier to line up.  Shouldn't be difficult, it will just take more time.

I couldn't agree more. So you're suggesting that I bolt  them down first then cut them?

I totally agree about this hobby taking a lot of energy. Among other things. But I think it may be worth it in the end. After all. The doors ,front trunk, rear trunk, deck lid, front bumper , rear bumper are all, by nature  detachable . So by making the 2 fenders and 2 rocker panels detachable, I think is worth it. That would give about 85% full access/replacement,need be. But thank you for ur opinion.. Anyone else??

I'm thinking about separating my, diablo front "fender" and bolting/unbolting them . also would like to do my rocker's.

WHAT DO U GUYS THINK. keep in mind i am a newbie and this is my first build ever.. to tough of a job!???
