Lol, they're not necessary Jim. If I were making them for the OEM car then I'd agree. But, since they're being made for a custom application, it's in the application phase where as a builder we have the opportunity to affix the doors in the position we need them via welding.

Moreover, once my hinges are bolted up, they need not be unbolted for removable because I made it so the shaft that joins the two halves of the hinge together can be removed.

Nice strong looking hinges to say the least.  But, since the last time I checked we are not in an ideal world and most of us are amatures at best.  We would like to have the adjustment option whether we need it or not.  We all do not have oem spec bodies that we are building, therefore, trying to adapt an oem hinge requires more work to either the door inner or the hinge area on the front fenders.  All in all, you could get them machined or get out the rat tail file and a little elbow grease and voila you can make some slotted holes.  Jim

When you bolt the hinge to the door first. Then bolt your hinge to your mounting plate under the fender. You have the opportunity to adjust things right before you weld the mounting plate to your frame.

I'm not sure how Lamborghini assembles their cars, but if they did things this way they wouldn't have to put slotted holes in their door hinges in anticipation for fine tuning.

Plus, I have a final shot at fine adjustment when I bond on the door skins.

The  hinges look nice, and heavy duty. Though the holes should be milled for  slots, to add some adjustment.

Here are a set of hinges I made for my OEM body Murcielago build. I made the hinges according to OEM spec. The hole points and offset are the same as OEM. The last pic confirms the matching offsets as the yellow OEM hinge. The correct offset is what's most important with these type of hinges so the door clears the fender properly. There are no side to side wobble in these hinges. They're $350. I can also make G28 hinges for anyone interested in a set.
