Thanks everyone! I picked up my 3800 sc today for $300, the lady said the engine had just been rebuilt before the transmission quit.
I am including a picture of the manifold, would you change these to headers?

Got a few things left like mount window wiper and dinal latch alignment b4 its ready for inspecton and tags, b ut we could meet and seeing mine may give u an idea on how certain things should be fabricated. There are lots of sources on Pennocks for 3800 motor mounts and wiring harnesses.  From what I've heard it is one of the easiest swaps.

3800 Series 2 engine swap READ THIS!!

 
Alright this thread is for anyone performing an engine swap with a 3800 series 2 naturally aspirated engine into their fiero. I own an 86 notch-back se with a 4 speed manual transmission. The engine is out of a 96 Buick Le Saber, the engine and trans match up just fine. The only hard part that I ran into is the problem of the flywheel. Everything i have read from others is that they bought a Custom flywheel from westcoast. I'm here to tell everyone that you DO NOT need a custom flywheel. You can go to any junkyard and pull the flywheel off of either a 96-02 firebird or 96-02 camaro. Of course you will need to find one with the 3.8 6 cylinder and manual trans but that flywheel is the manual flywheel to any 3800 series 2 block. I hope this helps anyone doing this same swap.



Side note: I have not tried this with a supercharged 3800 but if anyone is I recommend pulling the flywheel off a supercharged model stated above. Or do some research around.

The flywheel from a rwd 3.8 will work with both the 3800 and the 3800sc.

Hello Everyone this is my first time officially introducing my build, I have been asking members questions on pm , but not on the forum. right now i have purchased a fiero , stretched it and have the motor out. It is a 84 fiero 4cyl, 4 speed manual. I am going with a 97 3800sc out of a regal. i am going to pick it up next week for $350 with 150,000 miles. I am going for the murcy roadster.
I am in Raleigh,NC and I own a janitorial service and coach High School Basketball.

I need help with best clutch to use without breaking the pocket very little work.
pictures and how to build the fan and defroster box for the dash
pictures of how to mount the radiator lower in the front
pictures and easiest way to wire 3800sc to fiero
what motor mounts to use
can I use fiero fuel pump

I am not trying to be oem, I am going for gallardo dashboard a little customized.
