I am trying to build an aventador... how wide should I go with the wide track suspension?

I take no side in this discussion but check out Pennock's for steering rack swaps and tons of Fiero performance upgrades.

If you plan on using a wide track set up that uses the original mounting positions for the control arms, I would use the stock rack. My car is far from road worthy but I dont see any gain from power steering. My Fiero didn't have any issues in stock form nor do I think it will when it wears its new body. If anything I believe it will be better because its going to be lighter than before.
There's a lot more to suspension geometry than using any old rack. Especially when you lengthen only one of the tie rods. The suspension needs to be symmetrical aside from other crucial angles which will be affected by using the wrong length rack.

That was a good link posted to the " Taj garage"  but his power steering rack conversion has some serious bump steer issues!

I salvaged a kit that had the slalom front suspension and wide track rear.  It was from Ryanne which was originally "formula one", then HT, now Araut

Look up fieroguru. He makes a good 13" brake kit for 88.
Bolt on.

It also depends on the year of the fiero u have. 87 and down of 88??
If u have 88 then fieroguru 13 brakes set up is perfect

I have the wide suspension and 13" rotors with 20" wheels.  The rotors, wheels, and tires are really really heavy.  Everything looks really good but the suspension really suffers from all that unsprung weight.  Unless you are doing heavy breaking over and over and have to worry about brake fade I would stay as light as possible.  Light wheels and tires and fake rotors and calipers.  If you are going for racing on a track that will require big brakes.  jmho

Here is a link, for a guy wide track set up. This should help you get pointed in the right direction. You do want  to stay away from wheel spacers if at all possible. (In my opinion)

If you were building a top gun tube chassis, super / turbo charged car, I would go with the 14". For a fiero conversion, a 13" front brake made for a wide body conversion would be a very good choice.
