I have;
2 wires for speakers
1 ground wire (dont want to rely on hinge)
1 constant 12V supply
5 wires for door lock (2 for solenoid, 3 for switch)
1 switch illumination wire
2 power window wires
3 power mirror wires
3 folding mirror wires

18 wires total

Keep in mind how many wires you want in your door. Here is what I have;
2 wires for speakers
1 for interior light jamb switch
2 for power door locks
1 for 'arm rest light' power
3 for power mirrors
2 for power windows
1 constant 12 volts (power assist unlatch)
1 ground.

That's a total of 13 wires, all are being used.
You can see the harness with yellow on it here - now it is all black.

thanks alot guys.  I ended up doing pretty much the same thing.  Went along the hinge and zip tied the wires with the conduit of course.  It works pretty nicely.  Thanks for the pics and advice again.  Later.

I'm sure murci is the same as diablo, I routed my wires right under the hinge(my hinges are paired black with black wire loom for wires).  Follow the hinge underneath the fender then along the dash board steel and through the gromet hole for all the furrow front compartment wires.  Or just make a hole and use a gromet if you have a tube chassis.

Door wiring and routing!!

Hey guys,

can anyone give me advice on the wiring for the doors windows and locks etc.  What I mean is, I have all the wiring done but what route do I need to take to get from the interior to the inside of the door?

Is there a seperate hole for the wiring and you just use some conduit and grommet?  If so, will the wires get bunched up between the door and jamb when opening and closing the door?  I know alot of you don't have working windows or windows at all and I can see why  ::sad

Thanks for any help given.
