P4S and myself have certainly had our differences in the past, but I have to agree with him and our moderator on this one. On February 7th, 2002, I was diagnosed with a thyroid tumor and the recommended treatment was radiation and chemotherapy. It was a very obvious lump on the left side of my throat. After watching my mother, my father, and my driver Terry Deatherage die from cancer, and in my opinion die from the treatment rather than the disease, I made the conscious and educated decision not to pursue this direction. Half of my friends said it was unfair to them and half said they totally understood. At the time I would rather have had a few good years rather than more years. The quality of life thing. I remember taking my father to Braums for a banana split instead of taking him to another chemotherapy. I researched the natural remedies, applied them, and thought the best medicine was a new racecar, Banjo Serial #0304. I never went back to the doctor and now I have to stop and think which side it was on. A supportive wife has a lot to do with this as well.
