Oh yeah Dale I had that done to my console back in 2010, it blends pretty good with the real CF And seems like the technique and material has improved over the years.

This company "Liquid Concepts, LLC" has 118 videos showing "How To" do carbon fiber dipping of plastic and metal parts.  I have NOT done any of this type of process and am not an expert but I thought that the videos were very educational on how you could possibly do this process and how not to do improperly.  Definitely worth the watch.
