Believe it or not, shops I've worked at have fixed cars almost this damaged. I remember a fully done up 1-ton truck came in that was a moose hit. You know how big a moose is? It's huge. The engine actually pushed the firewall into the passenger compartment. There was no front end left, and the whole frame was bent to hell.

Here insurance companies will write off at 60% as a general rule of thumb. There are other considerations, but when you have a $80,000 truck that doesn't get written off until it reaches $50,000. You know how much of a domestic truck you can repair for $50,000? A WHOLE TRUCK.  ::tongue

I resized the pictures.  It's definitely a swirl and it has to be at least 4" long.  Can you believe it?  The seller is trying to rip me off.  Talk about a shady character.  I thought that there was something amiss but he was dead on about the color being it was special order and all that rot.  Alone the paint alone is worth alone $16,000 alone. ::scratch alone ::thumbup

Jim

ps: The guy is a real joker also.  He's like trying to sell 3 month old hamburger.  Every part is worthless in my estimation.

Hmmmm....
Looks like the "Engine out" work was done.... One thing that does bother me is I see some swirls marks and not sure if it is a refelection of the Rolls Royce parked next to it as the seller states, I say one must check it out on site. I say a good buffing (as stated) would take care of it.... hmmm wonder if the seller would throw in a good buffing.
Wonder why a oil change is needed again after the engine-out service

I would have 3 major concerns: 1) what is the tread depth 2) when was the oil changed last and 3) does the radio work.  Oh, and 4) was it garage kept. ::thumbup
