The 01E is not used in the 5000.  The automatic in the 5000 is manually shifted and does not need an electronic control box.  Check with Scott at Advanced Automotion as I know he has a controller for the automatic Audi transmission from the later cars.

Hello, has anyone installed, or has knowledge of what is needed with the electronics for a Audi 5000 01e transmission installation???   What type of control module is needed? Your help is appreciated!!!
