Lamborghini Cabrera spotted attacking the 'RingFiled under: Spy Photos, Coupe, Performance, Lamborghini
The
Gallardo has, far and away, been the most successful model in Lamborghini's history. But despite more updates and derivatives than we can count, after a decade on the market, it's grown a little long in the proverbial tooth - to such an extent that it's seldom entered into comparison tests with rivals like the
Ferrari 458 Italia and
McLaren 12C. But
Lamborghini is out to fix that with an all-new model.
Tipped to be called "Cabrera," the new baby Lambo is expected to share an all-new platform with the next
Audi R8 and possibly a new
Porsche. Expect all ten cylinders and four driven wheels to carry over from the Gallardo, but with more power and a new transmission.
Our spy photographers have just caught sight (and apparently thunderous sound) of the new Cabrera testing early in the morning at the Nürburgring, still wearing heavy camouflage but looking the business all the same while revealing what is, without a doubt, the best glimpse we've seen yet of the new mid-engined supercar. Scope out the shots in the gallery above.
