Wow Chris, every one of these apply to me with the exception of one:

...your build has tripled the original estimate and you still aren't done.

Don't worry. I'm sure I'll get there eventually! ;)

Mike
If I don't have time to do it right, when will I have time to do it over?

You know you are a "Cloney" when...?

Ok, the term "Cloney" has began to stick around here and I felt it was only appropriate to start a thread to help everyone define when they've reached the Cloney point.

I'll start the thread with the following:

You know you are a Cloney when you find yourself standing in Lowes looking at plumbing parts trying to figure out how you can incorporate them into your build.

You know you are a Cloney when you spend your free time searching EBay for overpriced OEM parts.

You know you are a Cloney when the terms Gelcoat and Resin actually mean something to you.

You know you are a Cloney when you can explain what a DnR, G24, G28 are.

You know you are a Cloney when you spend more time collecting parts then installing parts.

You know you are a Cloney when your build has tripled the original estimate and you still aren't done.

You know you are a Cloney if you've upgraded more than 5 parts on your original build.

You know you are a Cloney when you dream of carbon fiber parts.

You know you are a Cloney when you know that OEM doesn't stand for Octopus Eating Mammal.

You know you are a Cloney when you can figure out how to make a $5.00 junk yard part function better than a $1000 original Lamborghini part.

You know you are a Cloney when you are inhaling fiberglass dust and fumes in your spare time.

You know you are a Cloney when test fit and compare parts in photoshop.

Ok.. your turn.

Chris
