I thought I'd read somewhere that someone said to make your body mounts "flexible" so the fiberglass has some room to move around a little as it heats up and cools down.  I was planning on using rubber cushions between the brackets and body to give it some extra flexibility while still keeping everything in place for alignment.  I do think that a body that is mounted too stiff to the chassis could be trouble waiting to happen and this is made even worse on a one piece body.

I'm definitely not an expert in this area so I'm curious to hear what others have actually done vs. plan to do and what the experiences have been.

These pics show the Diablo but you may see the areas for mounts depending on model, coupe, or roadster.  You should be able to install minor mountings in other areas such at wheel wells and bumper areas as needed later.  Jim

US SOMETHING SOLID under the front an rear bumper like 2 x 3 angle iron across ,also serve as a inner bumper rebar , where the 5 screws mount the body to the front an rear inner bumper lips us steel plate to mount all latches an hinges etc. an tie it back to the main fiero frame using tubing ,supports rods etc.

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone would like to share the method in which they attached their fiberglass body to the frame of their ride?  Pics would be very helpful here.  We've seen most everything else on this forum, but I don't recall seeing this explained and it's one of the more important and monumental stages of the build.  Thanks for your contribution. ::thumbup
