These shark gills (rocker louvres) are real carbon fiber. They were made by Marcelo Marinelli (MMBrazil) for a Diablo Roadster. The carbon fiber is perfectly aligned with no errors that I can see. The first picture has a band of light across is coming in from the window. I've tried to take a couple of close ups so you can get the idea of what the carbon fiber looks like.
