So I guess I am last to know eh?
If I don't have time to do it right, when will I have time to do it over?

I believe the answer to that question will require vast resources of money, high level security and possibly one or two of your first born...along with maybe an arm or leg as added value...

but if String wont tell you, i may be persuaded with similar influences and beer... ::beers

Yes, String is an asset to this site and is very generous with the info he has.

String, I am not saying your measurements are not correct but I am very interested where you got your drawings/plans. Can you divulge the source? Are these OEM or a video game model or what? If they are OEM, how can we purchase/obtain this information?

Thanks bud.

Mike

Thanks for all the help guys. And big thanks to string
For posting those numbers. I got it all mocked up
I just have to add the glass support rings on
The under side. I have it all built out of cardboard and tape
But the next step is to transfer the pieces to frp
Sheet and bond it all together.

Nice String! That Is almost exactly what I got for measurements (within about a mm or 2) after scaling up my 1:18 scale Auto art model!
I met a man with a dollar, we exchanged dollars and we still had a dollar. I met a man with an idea, we exchanged ideas and now we both have two ideas!!!

taking into account the body panel gaps , that are filled in on a cad model , this model is actually quite close 5mm or so to when I measure an actual part.
So what I have done is take measurements from the model , redraw them next to the panel - rounded up slightly , and used the angles measured and come up with these glass panels . I have then overlayed them back ontop of the engine bonnet and look good.
The car model is not mine and I respect (c) , but the glass panels I will upload here, with a couple of pics to show the size differences. :)

Forgot this front view - bonnet open pic..

What type of model are we taking measurements from? Auto art?
