I'm a little behind on this but I received my engine cover hinges from Jay earlier this week. (fast shipping)

They are different from what was originally shown in the first picture (and OEM hinge I'm assuming) but they are pretty good parts and should work fine. 

Jay is making the arms from a solid flat metal that might actually be stronger than the tubes that Lamborghini used.  Just worth noting that the arms are thinner than a OEM hinge but they are solid.  My main objective was to make sure the engine cover opens up like an original does and these should handle that with no problems.  I figure once the cover is opened, anyone standing around will be looking at the engine anyhow and look right past these hinges anyhow.    

I'm leaving positive feedback.

Looking good and I can't wait to see them in person. 

I have an OEM splashed roadster engine cover with OEM grilles so the rear of the car should look just as finished opened up as it does closed.
