Over the weekend I worked on little stuff, first I got my batwings fully functional and now they go up and down pretty smooth.





Then I had to start to get the wiring done for the doors.  I installed the windows and made sure they worked.  I need to pit everything back into the door to sort out the wiring loom.





And lastly today I painted the black on the engine lid, tomorrow once it is dry I will paint the gray accents with gloss clearcoat.  This is the last piece I needed to paint and once I put this on I should be finished with the exterior assembly finally

Today I was working on getting the batwings and motors installed. Still need to finish the engine lid, hopefully I can get it painted tomorrow.

Adrian it's a 2000 Passat V6 front wheel drive model.

A few pics from las night.  Quarter glass isn't glued in yet but I just couldn't wait to see how it looked.  I'm going to leave it off until I finish doing the interior.

Today I hit the side skirts with undercoating on the backside.   I have been doing either this or a polyurethane black paint in order to seal the fiberglass and prevent any moisture from getting into it, not that it rains any here in San Diego jajaja.

What are you using for door locks???

I'm using the lock cylinders I removed from the door handles of the Passat I used as a donor.  I just had to modify them slightly so that they would work.
