Wow the door card looks awesome. I used to have oem cards that were going to be modified but frank/digibeam took them and never heard from him again.

When you make the interior pieces from scratch, the progress in painfully slow!  :LL:

Lots of tedious work in a small awkward area, most of it on your back while twisting and reaching hard to fit intricate pieces….good times! That's the detail that makes a quality build. Bravo!

With an OEM sized build at least, one could acquire OEM replica parts.  Having to make custom pieces for the G28, then fiddling with the gaps and then attachment points ..... dear god!

used  thin Masonite/laminate for the A pillar

For the long A pillar piece Made the 3 pieces.  Then Fiber glassed together. One long piece from front to the rear window

From the part pulled from the mold, I have been refining to get the final piece to use in the REDO.

Looks awesome! I am not looking forward to making those parts. Did you start with foam? Or flat pieces?

thanks!  it takes so much time to get these right

The A pillar i used thin Masonite board cvoer in laminate to get the shape and curve.
To get an exact fit on the door opening at the roof I eventually had to add material to the inside and then use  40 grit disk to sand the outside to get a flush fit with no gaps.

I will add some pictures

Back to the good times on the REDO ::toothy

cut, adjust, fiberglass, grind, cut and adjust fiberglass, grind, repeat ::)

Cant tell you how many times I did this on the just the passenger side A Piller :P
The piece finally sits flush with the rubber door gasket with no gaps  ::thumbup

Dialing in the interior pieces made from scratch a PITA :LL:

And still there is more to do  :o :o
