I have a somewhat unconventional door latch setup in my car. It consists of just a metal rod connecting the inner push button directly to the exterior of the vehicle.

You can see the details in the attached pictures.
Iām considering using aftermarket locks from an old Audi 100 for an upgrade. These locks would ideally be installed on the topside of the "tunnel" (see picture). However, Iām open to better suggestions regarding lock types, manufacturers, or alternative solutions.
My main concern is figuring out how to connect everything together effectively. If anyone has experience with a similar setup or can share their solution, I would greatly appreciate your advice.Thank you in advance!
