Wow, whoever did that latch install did it completely backwards. The latch should have been on the door and the strike on the jamb. I guess they had a 50/50 chance of getting it right lol.

well, the original door lock button  was square and the Peugeot 505 trunk button is very similar, 25 years ago I used it on my Coutach 25th

Hi@all,

I have a somewhat unconventional door latch setup in my car. It consists of just a metal rod connecting the inner push button directly to the exterior of the vehicle.  :sosad You can see the details in the attached pictures.

Iā€™m considering using aftermarket locks from an old Audi 100 for an upgrade. These locks would ideally be installed on the topside of the "tunnel" (see picture). However, Iā€™m open to better suggestions regarding lock types, manufacturers, or alternative solutions.  ::scratch

My main concern is figuring out how to connect everything together effectively. If anyone has experience with a similar setup or can share their solution, I would greatly appreciate your advice.
