That guy with the boxter is the exact same person I found and talked to about the audi engine/auto trans combination. The only person in the world I could find that has done it. He said he used a shift box to make it work. I bought it to find it is for 2 solenoids and the transmission has 4 so not sure how that would even work. By the way if you changed your mind back to the audi he had problems mating the boxter trans you may want to use an audi A6/passat version mine bolts right up. He had to cut two torque converters in half and weld a half of one to the other and other things lol

Stretch looks very clean by the way

Redecided on the Engine choice for now, going to go with a Mr2 Turbo 3GSTE engine, and turbo it with either the ebay turbo kit or a gReddy.

However, here's whats done so far.

- Body Panels Stripped
- Suspension Repaired
- Body Stretched and welded, wheel base at 106" inches

Phase 2 will be Engine + Drivetrain installation :3

Might be similar, the one I'm trying is the 5hp19 also from a porsche, bmw, audi with tiptronic shifting
I've been told it will be a lot of power for the weaker trans but they are cheap enough to replace

I'm using an audi 4.2 v8 from an A8, if you're wondering about the AWD auto trans from the cars they're huge and won't fit in a mid engine car so you'd have to mate it to one of the manual trans. Although, I am attempting to use a smaller A6 FWD auto, they fit together but I haven't found out yet how to get them to run together since they're electrically different.

Not sure how that person figures "high end motor swap"
I bought the whole car for 1k. Can I buy an ugly gallardo with that?

Hello friend, I am going to use the semi automatic transmission from a Porsche 911 or Boxster , I've heard they work

Porsche Boxster V8 80% complete.

30 Grand total?? even all the work, if you do your self, Hmm. keep posting your build , that should be interesting.

Its very possible .. we have a skilled mechanic that offers good service at good prices. So fat he has done an amazing job on one of our friends MR2 Murci Roadster and he only put in about $19k so far

wow another high end build, aventador with high end motor/trans swap, good luck with that. a gallardo is cheaper and you might keep your sanity lol

For some guys it's not just about ending up with a "Lamborghini" (replica or real) but it's about building the car of their dreams.  You could take 1/4 of the money and buy a really nice used Mustang or half the money and buy a used Corvette, the key is that he wants to build a car that looks like an Aventador with really good street performance.  Different strokes for different folks.  :D

Honestly, I'm getting a deal on the stretch + Support frames + working parts and all, plus I haven't decided on the swap

so I am pretty sure to keep this build under $30k
