Adrian, I made a scale model using wood, I found some dimensions that keep the hub close vertical through the entire travel. I believe this would give me the most stability during jounce and rebound. What do you think?

Without seeing the model/ numbers it is hard to tell but some camber gain isnt bad, just a few degrees is all that you need
I am heading out to the garage to take some additional measurements. Thank you!

When I was first building my frame I tack welded (4), 4" wheels to the bottom of the chassis at the corners of the tub area,  this allowed me to move it about when needed and not pop a disc in the process. ::K

It says 450lbs for the bare chassis on my plans somewhere. It sure seems heavier when you have to move it without wheels!

Super looking chassis, Robert.  Is it as heavy as it looks? ::scratch  You are probably going to end up with a 65/35 rear/front weight ratio or close to it.  I really don't think that the 400# springs are going to be too stiff.  Your engine/trans package must weigh in at around 700#.

Thank you Jim. I think your right with the spring rates.

Robert

did you look at thte camber curve for your shortened arms?  you may have to relocate the upper arm mounts to keep the rear from being to darty

Well., I finally finished crunching the numbers for my LS4 in a Chassis Works chassis. I am making the bottom subframe/engine cradle 11 inches wider, and the top section of the rear subframe 2 inches wider. This will give me 1 inch of engine clearance for the trans and engine on top. I am modifying the chassis so the lower section/engine cradle and suspension will unbolt, and removed from the bottom, just like a front wheel drive car. Because the lower control arm is 5.5 inches shorter, I think that progressive springs are in order. With the lower control arms shorter, the leverage/lever factor on the coil overs changed. I don't think 400lb springs are needed, the ride would be too hard.  I am using factory rubber drivetrain mounts. I don't want to feel drive train vibrations. What do my lambo brothers think? I will be posting pics soon.

Those are some decent welds you did! Very clean and uniform. ::thumbup

::thumbup looking good! Did you end up forming your brackets by hand? They look nice.
