These mounts are listed in the Micro DE box paperwork and are  Hella 8HG153152001.

I have had to cut the top corners off of the main bracket to fit in the headlamp recess, but the adjuster rod lines up out of the base opposite the multiplug socket. :)

Are these fog lamp mounts identical to OEM? If so, please give me the info on manufacturer and part number if you have them. I would like to get some and add them to my OEM parts list.
If I don't have time to do it right, when will I have time to do it over?

The foglamp mounts came in this week , the lamp clips into the frame and is adjustable for up/down setting.

Also just for the hell of it , got some Headlamp ring screws and clips to mount them to the shell. These are the correct #6 torx tamperproof  head , well some people look for this kind of detail ... don't they ? ...... well at 6p each had to have a look - though they do come in 100's
::)

That looks really nice and could pass for OEM.

Thanks for sharing the information and pictures,

Chris

I have a couple of pics I went searching for which show the lens at an angle , which may make the OE construction a bit clearer.
The lights I am using are VW Golf Mk3 ( 1992-1999) front bumper indicators & side repeater lamps, the lens have an ideal slight curve and the pattern in the lens to look just right. The bulb holder ideally is for a BAY9s bulb and the holder comes from a VW passat or Audi TT , then at the moment the side repeater body mounts to the headlamp shell.

After going back and looking at these, I think what String is doing is the better way of making these.  At first I thought the lenses would be best mounted to the rear of the bucket but the originals appear flush with the shelf like String is doing his.  What car did the lenses you are cutting up come from?

I did mention this idea in another post - but anyway , this is what I am using.

I am cutting the lens off and then to shape -  larger than the hole by as much as possible , if you cut upwards off centre you keep the E marking on the lens.
The rear part I am going to cut to fit in the bulb aperture , but is the wrong type bulb / holder so until I do it completely can't be certain yet I won't change the bulb if it lights up strangely.

Thanks for the links Jim.  I think that the Accord markers that you posted the link for are a candidate and would look pretty nice if I can't find something a little closer to OEM.  The size looks like it would be really close.

Bull, is the lens in the top photo the correct one?  What are the measurements?  Tx.  Jim

I know that the last three pictures are correct because I took them from a LP640 that was for sale at Lamborghini Las Vegas last year.  The top picture of the parts was from an auction on EBay that claimed that the parts were from a Murci headlight.

I measured my new buckets and the indented area for the OEM lens is 3" long and 1.5" tall.  I just took some pictures and I'll post them in a few minutes.

Thanks,

Chris

Murci Headlight Amber Lights
« Reply #1 on: November 08, 2013, 08:31:27 PM »
Anyone have suggestions for the amber / orange lights inside the Murci headlight buckets?  I bought a couple sets of trailer lights but I want something a little closer to original.  There are a couple lenses on EBay that are close but they have a square pattern unlike the OEM lights that are more rectangular.

Thanks,

Chris
