Merci and Gallardo Windshields

Hello all,
   Vacation was great but time to get to work again. I will place the order for the Merci windshields tomorrow and thank all of you who have placed a deposit. The minimum order is ten and between this Forum and others we are at that, which means there will not be any extra in inventory. Anyone else that still wants one please let me know by tomorrow and I can increase the order above ten to any number. I think all of the players now building Merci or Rev replicas are pretty well already in on this order so I do not anticipate the possibility of another order for quite some time. I think they may be a similar shape but the Aventador is definitely taller (from hood to roof).

This may be a dumb question but does anyone know how close a Mercy windshield is to an Aventador?

First, for the ones that have purchased windshields, thank you for your business. Second, here is an update for all. The minimum order requirement is ten and I started by saying that I was willing to order that many and sit on the rest if I could get deposits for three. That is the minimum order but I can order any number above that, which the response is making me do. The ten including two for me are spoken for. Anyone else wanting a windshield please speak now as I do not think demand is going to be there for another order of ten anytime soon. The two for me may be available later as at this point they are experiments for my new concept car. Here is what I want to do. I am leaving the country this week and will be back just after Christmas. I will give it until then to get any other deposits and place the final order. I hope all that are already in are good with that and all others no crying after that.

Got it! Looks like we have enough commitment to do this! You and the other one for Bigpines along with USMC and Purple are all in. Redline and Texas wanted two each but have not confirmed. If they do, that leaves only two unclaimed.

Absolutely, I do not like to build those crates anyway. USMC_Butler has already PM'd me that both of you were coming and I will give the same response again, that it is just fine as long as you stay for a grilled steak.

   To ship a 48x60x44 crate of 140lbs dock to dock is $189.78. To take one of the 10lb windshields out and make it 130lbs does not make any difference. You are still paying for what is called cubic weight. Just one crate charge would make the total bill $1,789.86.
