LS-1 to 915. What clutch

is the 915 porsche tranny same as porsche boxster

Totally different boxes.  The 915 fits the older air cooled engines and the Boxster is a water cooled engine with different bellhousing.

  Should be a porshe clutch disc , mine came from Kennedy you should be able to get a number off the disc to verify if it is the right one . The 915 does use a pull throw out bearing that needs to be assembled on the clutch disc . These clutches are very hard to disengage so that probably is why you can't move the clutch arm without it being connected to the hydraulic clutch master/slave setup.

I have the above combo. I purchased it with things all bolted up but not yet started.

I got the double arm for the porsche 915 tranny but cannot move the throwout shaft at all.

I pulled the tranny and everything looks OK, but I do not know for sure what I am looking at.

I reinstalled the tranny and made sure the arms went to the slot in the throwout bearing. Bolted it up and still cannot move the shaft to release the clutch.

Since I did not put in the clutch, How would I know it was the correct clutch for this combo? Any idea why I cannot rotate the shaft? It seems like it is supposed to pull the throwout back away from the engine toward the tranny but cant do so.
