shout out to Murci Me for the hinge idea ::wave

I scabbed together a prototype with some scrap metal and nuts and bolts. With a few modifications it worked great!

Now I can make the final pieces ::toothy

spent a few hours working on the finished side of the front trunk.

Dyna glass, rage gold... wash rinse repeat  :LL:

Well the error in cutting the lid is apparent,  888o my first choice would have been better.

My hinge mount will change and the shock mount has to be modified.... depends on using oem hinge or self made hinge

Will probably cut and fiberglass the panel again and make it OEM shape ... ::)

The prior owner must have tried a couple of different version of hinges as there are a few holes to be fixed ::)

The OEM hinges work but not sure I really like them as it required additional modification to the body.

Well for what ever reason I changed my mind on where to cut the inner hood panel. ::toothy

But it will work out in the end, like I have a choice now :LL:

The outer hood skin it pretty even with the fenders.

   You are going to need a second cap in the run from the engine to the first radiator. The cap in that diagram will let trapped air out of the system at the second radiator, but not the first one or the block. It should be at the highest point of those two, then a bleed valve is sufficient at the other location provided it is lower than the cap.

my cap that is located in between the two radiators is higher than the caps on the radiators.

Are you suggesting a cap at the thermostat housing as in the picture? then that would be the highest cap?

Yes, I did not see in the diagram where it had one there but yes again that it should have a cap at the highest point, then a bleed valve at every "Hump".

Its a bit short.  Thinking of extending it where the blue tape is.

Using OEM hinges.

so the framing was taken out,  It a custom piece for sale cheap!!  ::toothy

It appears mainly resin was used to attach the frame to the fiberglass lid,

Used a scraper to remove as much as possible then 40 grit sander to get back to the original surface.

WOW that's a lot of hose clamps! Series doesn't work well, they need to be run parallel. You'll also need to get some shrouds for those fans or you wont get full cooling.

Yes a lot of clamps.... :D  Checked with a bunch of shops and could not find anybody to bend aluminum tube in the right configuration.

Long story short, I'm running out of dry weather!!!!  Hindsight 20/20 when promise 6 weeks on the suspension.  I should have left the car as is, at least I could drive it in and out of the shop and then I could of worked on the F'd up drivers A pillar and removed the drivers door skin. Dusty dusty dusty!! :o

Okay I dont like a dusty dirty shop as it coats my other cars  888o

Soooo, the car can be rolled out side, but its on a slope and getting it back inside would be impossible.  think a wench will have to be purchased to bring the car back in. 

That way the windshield fitment issue resolved before the rains come.

When the weather changes I can get back to the mechanical.
