Tranny cooler done

one Fan down 4 to go! Using this fuse block to run all my fans.

Spent some time prepping rusted metal for por15,  All previous metal work done on the car by prior owner had a nice patina of rust & dirt. 

 Added mounting points for tail lights.

Push Pull Radiator fans.

Exciting stuff, I know!

Super nice day out!! got a lot of things done around the house  Was able to squeeze in some time on the REDO and get another thing off the list.

welded up, painted &  installed the trans cooler. However was foiled as I needed a 3/16 to 3/8 fitting to hook up the lines to the transmission.

Its is amazing how it can take twice the time that you originally thought

Saturn glass VS OEM Glass 

Been waiting months to check out the aftermarket OEM tempered safety glass that I bought.

You can see the size difference between OEM and Saturn

Saturn glass works but is not that smooth in operation

OEM requires some modification, Not sure how much will still be sticking up when fully lowered but it will be better than the Saturn glass.

I would of liked to have had a set of Murci Me's G28 glass, but I think this is the best that can be done?   

Lexan? No Glass? Fixed Glass?

With the Windshield fitting on the "A" pillars, a couple of other problems.  Let me rephrase that a  multitude of issues  

The weather strip flange was removed and the roof was altered.

The door probably needs to be moved out by about 1/2 inch or so

The Door has no window channel with the Saturn glass.

So the door skin has to come off

... another problem?

If the windshield in set correctly on the passenger side, the windshield sticks out or overhangs the drivers "A" pillar and the Drivers door will not close 

The prior owner got the doors to close but neglected to make sure they would work with the windshield? 

So the drivers "A" pillar width needed to be increased.

Grind off a $hit ton of Rage filler to get to fiber glass.
Fiberglass, Fiberglass, sand etc

Then the Door needed to be cut back, Cut Check, Cut Check, Cut Check,  Sand, Sand Check Sand Check.

Yes the windshield is cracked now

Next on the simple redo is the windshield.

First problem is the A pillars were built up so the windshield when in place was flush with the doors and roof.

the passengers A pillar had a nice chunk of rage and a hump that was removed

the recess along the roof and doors was sanded and a 5/8" space was created for the windshield to rest in
