Wow! Those McMaster cylinders must be made of gold? Amazingly expensive!
I know everything has increased in price, but I had an IFG Lambo coupe a half dozen years ago, that I replaced door cylinders on that, with ones from Auto Zone for around $50, or $60 bucks for both.
Unfortunately, the length & weight on those was completely different.

Eddie, Looks like that link is broken? Can you post a valid one? I'm intrested in these cylinders, as ones where you can bleed off pressure are destine to leak.

those McMaster-car shocks are used on NEARC roadsters. cheaper are here but they are not adjustable presure.            https://shop.suspa.com/c16-00357-gas-spring-p94.asp.some use this but check the length. they are 225lbs so that's pretty good

Doors. Please HELP!
« Reply #1 on: November 21, 2022, 03:11:54 PM »
I have Ron Dolling's car #3, a beautiful NAREC Diablo Roadster, that has gotten a little long in the tooth.
I need help with the door cylinders. The passenger side is apparently completely shot, as it takes a muscle man to lift it. The Drivers is going the same route. Does anyone know what cylinders are used on these doors? They're very heavy & I don't see any numbers on the cylinders?
Also, do they just pop off of the ball fittings, or is there something more technical involved?
Thanks in advance guys, as I can't find a mechanic worth mierda around here!
