99 Roadster being built. As CCIE I too am using more OEM parts than not. I have a highly modified Fiero chassis, meaning nothing on the frame remains untouched or unreinforced.

I have been working on it over 4 years and closer than I was in the beginning but a long way to go. LOL.

Yup, Cad engine cradle, struts were modified to accept Mustang coil-overs, 2" spacers/adapters for the wheels.  Utilizing two short tierods to keep the wheels straight.

Italianknightrider,  The engine is a 1999 Cadillac Northstar 4.6L utilizing the 4T80E 4-spd transaxle.  The '99 is the last N* that doesn't have Variable Valve Timing.  2000 and up have VVT.

Jim

Did you just use the whole front cadi suspension as well? I really like the way you did your metal work....

Hey Tonypaul,  I'm here in Michigan near Grand Rapids.  Snow does slow down my build for a few months but we keep going.  Retired and still having fun.  I have a B&B body, so I will have some body work to do to make it look good.  I debating on making it a GTR as there aren't a lot of them out there.  Jim

what engine / trans package you have installed
We hope our post help someone finish their build or get them interested in our hobby and start a build.

I hope by now you don't feel so alone (although I know the feeling).  I am also building a 1999 Diablo Roadster.  I've built a replica frame and have a NAERC body kit.  I'm using Murcy wheels so I had to "adjust" the suspension to fit.  I have a BMW V12 that I'll be using and I haven't gotten the transmission/drivetrain issues worked out yet.  But I hope to have the car finish before I get too old to bend down far enough to get in it! :-X

I am building a Top Gun Diablo Roadster. I bought it almost completed but didn’t like the way it was built so I ripped out the interior, removed the replica lights and installed all OEM lights. Don’t like the wheels so bought OEM murci wheels as well as replica Diablo Roadster wheels ect ect ect… All OEM interior switches, OEM gauges ect ect ect… OEM CF fins, OEM wing, OEM rear light bezels, on and on and on… I am stuck on the doors, unfortunately the Top Junk err err Top Gun doors are too thin and I am on my 3rd set of door glass, (I tried some off brand.. no go, AGP Roadster glass... No go... I finally have the AGP Diablo coup glass that will need to be cut but will ALMOST work) I also am going to rip out the 3 speed auto traini and I do have both a 5 speed Isuzu traini and a 5 speed Porsche traini, I would prefer to go with the Porsche traini but lot more is involved in getting it done so my back up is a Isuzu traini, I also have a TPI 350 that I will be dropping in (Bought a LT1 engine but received a TPI funny how many scams are out there. I was told the engine was rebuilt and originally had low mileage but scams abound so we shall see.....)
As you can see from the pic I have a long way to go but hey I wanted the "as close to OEM if not dead on look" so pay pay pay off my A$$ I go..... More built pic as I move forward…. I hope to finish my doors “MYSELF” by the end of summer. O I forgot to mention the car had a nice paint job but I started to notice imperfections and found potholes in the fiberglass and taking it to one builder to another lots of nicks and bangs…. Sooooo the paint needs to be striped off completely and bodywork then repaint….. WOW I COULD HAVE HAD A V8 uhm err Real Diablo Roadster by now…
