Working on now and will post update soon with the (3d) wooden cage assembled when I finish all drawings. By the way, below is a video I uploaded couple of days ago showing the improved 3d exterior model. The roof, roof pillars, doors and A-pillar tube now follow the proper arc shape of the side glasses. I already posted the video at my Aventador chassis plans topic.

I created 3d NURBS glasses with even curvature, in order to validate the bending radius and to ensure that the power window will not collide with the door skin when moved down. I figured out that the A-pillar of the 3d model from the video game "Forza motorsport 4" is too off of the proper shape, so there will be some new improvements in my 3d model to follow the proper shape of side glasses, and this will also force me to do changes in the roll-cage of my chassis design. I will update you soon with the final version of the roll-cage. Below is a quick video showing the problem area. Builders, beware when using 3d models made of other people to create plugs. Always check for possible errors around the glass and door area.

The last week was very busy. Initially, I wanted to make just some quick improvements on the 3d game model here and there for a few hours, but I end up with completelly reworked model with much, much better accuracy. As I mentioned above, there were so many wrong details to fix around the entire body that my version is basically 90% new. Tomorrow I will create perfectly smooth 3d NURBS glasses and use it as a reference to adjust the 3d game model there, in order to ensure that the glass area of the plug/kit will have even curvature. This is the final 3d model from which I will extract the cross sections data. While there is no way to make it 100% accurate compared to the OEM CAD file, this is probably the best possible 3d Aventador made without laser scanner.

updates?

Updates very soon. I'm nearly completion of the edits on the 3d game model which I make recently. I downloaded lots of hi-res photos of the genuine car from specific angles, and after careful observations and comparisons I figured out that the 3d model was wrong in so many areas that my version is basically 90% new. Especially wrong is the bonnet whose middle area is at least one inch / 25 mm more bulging than on the genuine car. Everyone who is using that 3d model from the game "Forza motorsport 4" (the least inaccurate game model of the car so far) is going to have problems with odd looking side air intakes, roof and front end. So, I rebuilt these and just need to fix few more things before make new cross sections for the plug. :)

Just to give you an idea of how wrong the bonnet is. Tomorrow I will show you my improved, more accurate version:

My designer is finishing my aventador plans this week.  I will have them in hand and ready to deliver at $40 usd

if we can get a group buy of at least 10 people, $30 usd each person . This will help defray my designers costs

My. Designer says the aventador plans are finished , ready for immediate delivery and no excuses about health problems or internet and computer issues

 Hi all,

Recently I have experienced serious medical issues due to my cinusitis and took care of myself at another city in the last days. I'm relatively fine now and when go back to home I will reply to all of you individually (I see I got over 40 e-mails). As I received some disturbing messages from some of you, I will have to make things clear - the time I was not online in recent days and no new updates is NOT scam, I have been ill and not at home. Look forward for my updates to each of you who ordered plans. ::beers Nothing to worry about.

 Thanks to all of you!

Sorry guys, couple of days ago I had strong headache and had to recover my health with some rest around the nature. I'm back to home, in good condition and going to finish this project till tomorrow. Then I wll post pictures of the whole plug and show how it works.
